This funding will go towards our project to bring people together to grow seedlings which can be nurtured at home until they are ready to be planted out in displays enhancing the local area.

The objectives of this project are to:

  • Develop a sense of community and create positive interaction between generation
  • Increase local pride
  • Improve people’s health and well-being and give them a sense of purpose
  • Reduce social isolation
  • Improve the Town Centre and surrounding areas.
  • Help the environment

SKDT see community regeneration as more than an economic measure and will continue to work to create opportunities for people to gain skills, experience and employment that lead to increased self-confidence and an optimistic attitude that is contagious within the community, contributing to a vibrant, sustainable future. The seeds of today are the flowers of tomorrow!
