Southend Community Action Plan - Event

Awards For All
ArgyllLEADER

Yes the results are in and surprise surprise the top issue was the lack of Village Hall in the Southend survey.

The next stage is an open day on Saturday 21st January in St Blaan's Hall where the full results will be displayed along with the opportunity to add to what has already been said. We want you as a community to come along and see what you said is important for Southend.

As the hall was the top issue there will also be an introduction to the new design team for the hall which is part funded by a grant that the Dunaverty Hall committee has received to pay for an updated design. The architect will be showing you what is being proposed and they will also use this time to do a bit of fundraising.

The hall though was not the only issue and we need you as a community to help prioritise the needs of the area and to perhaps get involved in making things happen. We also have information, facts and statistics about the area and if you can add to them we will be pleased to include them in the final documents which will be of value for the community for the future.

The Event will be from 12 noon to 4.00pm to give people plenty of time to browse, have a cuppa and meet with others.

This project is being carried out by the South Kintyre Development Trust with support from Argyll and the Isles LEADER, Awards for All, South Kintyre Area Development Group, East Kintyre wind farm trust, West Kintyre wind farm trust and Inspiralba.
