EAST KINTYRE COMMUNITY ACTION PLAN WORKSHOP

The results of an extensive consultation process in the East Kintyre area will be presented at a workshop in Carradale Hotel at 2 p.m. on Saturday 14th of January. The results of a community profile, householder survey and stakeholder interviews will be presented along with a proposed action plan that attendants to the event will be able to comment and vote on.

The poor condition of the B842, the lack of a fuel station in East Kintyre, the condition of Carradale Harbour, and a lack of local job opportunities were just some of the issues raised during the consultation process. All residents in Saddell, Peninver and Carradale are encouraged to attend the event to ensure that their views are heard. Teas and coffees will be provided.

This project is being carried out by the South Kintyre Development Trust with support from Argyll and the Isles LEADER, Awards for All, South Kintyre Area Development Group, East Kintyre wind farm trust, West Kintyre wind farm trust and Inspiralba.
